Wink A TMI question for my cysters

Hello cysters,

Just a quick question for you all.

I'm having some strange vaginal symptoms for the past day or two, lots of itching but absolutely no discharge. Now I've had all sorts of discharge with my PCOS, so I feel like I know how to deal with that, but I've never had this itching without discharge! The itching is worse tonight.

If you all have any ideas about what this may be or if I should have my doc take a look, I'd greatly appreciate your input.

Thanks a bunch cysters, and have a good night!

Hugs
Jenny

I am of no help here. But if it is very bothersome, I would see the doctor.....I know you didn't want to hear that I hope you get some relief soon.

Have a good night cyster!!

I always thought itching meant yeast infection? I've not had one so I can't help other than that. Hope it gets better quickly.

i was thinking thrush i think its also known as a yeast infection though i dont think you always have to have discharge with this. sounds werid but if i get thrush one of the best things i know of for relief is to put plain youghart on a pad and leave it on while you go to sleep, trust me it really helps and the youghart is nice and cold... lol sorry i know it sounds nutso

Yeast infections don't have to include discharge. Maybe you're allergic to something, have to changed your washing powder?

Default That Happens to Me...

Can I just say that I LOVE that we can ask these kinds of questions here!

That kind of *itching* happens to me hormonally. It was BRUTAL after I had both my kids, and when I was pre-menstrual (in my pre-PCOS days, when I would actually get a period) I would always get it for a few days.

What really helps is an OTC cream like Vagisil. If you've never had it before, though, you may want to check with your doctor.

Hope you feel better soon!

I have this problem occasionally too. It seems worse at night, and only started after having my son. My dr said that it is horomonal and to use a hydrocortizone cream, which works well, and to take an allergy pill. I like the quick dissolve by allavert, it makes it stop within 20 minutes. Good Luck!

Ever since I had DD I can't use any soaps except Dove or I get itching - it's the weirdest thing, I never had a problem like that before. It's been over 2 years now and if I use any other kind of soap then I'm sure to be itchy the next several days. Misearable. It took me a while to figure out the culprit, infact my OB is the one who suggested the possibility. I thought she was nutty, but it turned out she was right. She also thought laundry detergent may be the culprit, but it turned out to just be a soap allergy.

Thanks for all the replies cysters! I really appreciate it.

I had another interesting thing happen this morning. I was still pretty itchy up inside, and I had about an hour or so where some (sorry about this) milky stuff came out. No clumps or anything. Then it was back to itching but I was bone dry and have been since. I'm starting to feel a little itchy on the outside too. Ugh.

But I thank you for all the advice. It always makes me feel better to know that my cysters understand!

Hugs to all of you
Jenny

It sounds a lot like a yeast infection to me - I'd see a doctor, just to get it checked out.

I would say with the milky discharge it is probably a yeast infection. Call your gyn and have them give you the 1 dose thing, can't remember the name, but it is supposed to get rid of it in 24 hours. Good luck!

Hi cysters, and thanks again for the replies!

I have decided (and this is a big deal for me) to call the doc in the morning if my itching is not better. I haven't really had any more discharge to speak of, but I just feel "irritated" down there if that makes any sense.

Thanks for listening cysters! And I hope you all have a nice evening!

Hugs
Jenny
