Default TMI Question ... Sorry

Okay ... you know how every woman usually has a certain smell down there, it's their particular smell ... well since I was under sooo much stress this last week and I had sugar and bad stuff the wazoo, (I am a diabetic), the smell down there has changed ... it's smells very very yeasty, like some making fresh bread ...

Sorry if this is waaaay TMI ... but I was wondering if I am the only one and if it's cause by the sugars??

Thanks in Advance

Well, I'm not exactly sure what you should do. Do you have any itching or discharge? You may be getting a yeast infection. I know that diabetic woman are prone to getting them more often. I think I read somewhere that eating yogurt can help.

No it's not itchy at all ... I have some discharge that comes thru through-out the day and that's when it smells really yeasty ... My normal scent is kinda sweet, unless it was never normal and it was because I was diabetic? Sugars having an effect in my scent when I sweat or discharge ...

This is just confusing the hell outta me ... I also have diahrrea if that makes any difference at all and I am not on met, I have been off for almost aweek due to stress and not being able to remmeber or even care.

It wouldn't hurt to talk with my Gyn would it? I have to get a new prescription for Provera anyways ...

well when making bread, you soak yeast in sugar water to help it grow. maybe you had yeast down there from a previous infection and because of how your body deals with sugar....you sweated sime out down there? and it mixed? just a theory. go see your gyn.

I know with men, depending on what they eat will change the smell and taste (yuk) or their semen. So the same, I would believe, would be the same with us.

I am not sure if it is a diabetic thing or not. As far as I know(stupid docs somethings) I don't have an IR problem. But not all the time but once in a great while this happens to me too. Talk to your gyno about and see what they say. I am quite interested myself. Whenever I feel a little funky down there I usually drink some cranberry juice and all is forgotten. Hope everything goes well.
Sincerely,
Elaine

It's not common but some women don't get itching while I have yeast infection. I had one last year and the only symptom I had was discharge. (but I never pay attention to my smell down there unless it is really strong or something)

Also I haven't heard of diabetes affecting your smell but I am sure that when you eat different foods from what your body is used to it would change. It's amazing how your diet can affect you!!!
