Today was Jamie's due date. I can't stop crying. I keep replaying the day he was born too soon. I will never forget the heartache of going though this a second time. I pray this doesn't have to happen to anyone else. This is such a nightmare. I miss my babies so much, my heart is so broken.

Gina, I am thinking of you today and crying along with you. You're such a strong woman to try again after two losses.
Peace,
Adrianne

Gina,
You are among friends. This is one of the hardest days. Just take it one step at a time. I'm very very sorry Jamie's not in your arms, it's totally unfair and horrible.
Major Hugs,
Sheri

Hugs. Im SO SORRY you had to go thru this twice. Due dates suck. I think of you often and I just talked about you w/ my doc (long story, tell you later). I wish so badly that they can somehow find out what is causing your PPROM.
Thank you all so much. Your responses mean so much to me.
Reebekah, I'll be waiting to hear what your Dr. had to say. I have a consultation with a peri on Monday. Hopefully you can post your Dr.'s comments before then. Thanks.

"My heart is broken, but not my spirit. My desire to be a Mother is greater than my fear of another miscarriage." Gina M.
Well, to make a long story short, I thought I was leaking last week. I freaked out and went to the docs. My doc is very good, but he thinks I'm excessively paranoid (which may be true, but with good reason). He was very caring, but at the same time kind of acted like "why in the world would she just out of nowhere think shes leaking at 16 weeks...does she know how unlikely that is". Well in my world of pregnancy loss boards and research, I hear about it all the time. I told him that a friend of mine had it happen twice in a row. He asked if she lives around here. lol. I had to explain that you arent a "real" friend but rather a friend I communicate with online. Well I have already questioned his expertise several times based on things Ive read online, so I think he hates when I even bring up "well women on the internet told me" or "I read online that" or "well a doc in chicago told his patient that". Anyway, he didnt say much more than you already know....that PPROM is usually caused by infection/bacteria/inflammation, overstretching of uterus, trauma, smoking, bleeding, preterm labor, short cervix, procedures like amnio and cerclage, etc. He just said that determining the cause usually needs to be by process of elimination.
You may want to visit a site I found.... www.kanalen.org/prom - please be aware that there are some PROM success stories there and I dont want to upset you....but there is also some good info and some stories of success in future pregnancies.
My doc did an ultrasound and nitrazine test and I'm not leaking. Actually, the watery discharge has stopped now. He gave me some nitrazine to bring home and test myself whenever I start to freak out, so I dont have to go to the docs everytime I feel something (maybe you could do this in the future too).
I think thats about it for now.
Good luck
Becky
