Bummer, didn't get to see it. Was it about infertility or being overweight or just PCOS in general?

All of the above, and hair mostly. Helena Teede from the Jean Hailes Foundation in Victoria will be speaking at the Posaa conference in Sydney in September. http://seven.com.au/todaytonight/story/?id=29348
Thanks for putting the link on there i was at work and forgot to put it on and for some reason i can create a new thread but i cannot reply to a thread so i coudn't change my post with a reply.
I saw it. It kind of scared me because i had only just got diagnosed with PCOS yesterday and i came home rather depressed and turned the tele on and that just came on. It was a scary coincidence.
I saw it and was disappointed. Mostly mentioned obese women who can't lose weight, (lots of footage of headless fat women walking the streets which is a standard for this program) and probably one sentence on hair, oh and a tidbit on infertility. They flashed up a pic of polycystic ovaries with no explanation about it. It also mentioned Cushings Disease and it's symptoms but if I didn't know better I would have been confused by this story. No mention of insulin probs, potential problems for heart disease, cancers etc. etc. I dunno, I'm glad the word's getting out there, but this was a rushed, non-informative, tabloid-headline sort of story that left me wanting to shout to the viewers that PCOS is so much more than that segment. Oh and it even said that once diagnosed, the weight drops off dramatically. Really? Ugghhh!

For those of you who missed the quick 5 mins on Today Tonight I am in the process of converting it from video to upload to a site. My mother bless her inadvertidly video'd it for another feature on the show.

wasn't much to see, a friend rang and said that it was on and it basically told everyone (who has the condition) what they already know.

I just sent them some (negative but constructive) viewer feedback about it. I encourage others to do it too- just go to the yahoo 7 website.
