erm just wondering about your toilet-habits. (number 2's)
i've always been quite regular, at least once a day or every other day for sure....unless i've been on some serious Atkins, then it's every few days at best due to the constipation .
but since starting Metformin (now on 1500g), i've noticed i only go for a poo every four days or so...and then i go SEVERAL times more in the same day!
any ideas about this? i never knew i could store so much up there, let alone let it all out in one day...
is it the Met? will it improve and regulate back to once a day?
I'm vegan so I usually go within the hour of each meal but since starting Met last week, things are very different. I spent many hours in the bathroom for several days and then went on Immodium and still went once a day. I didn't take Immodium yesterday or today and went once each day. I hope I'm adjusting to the meds just in time to up them and start all over.

I have the same problem, but I'm taking Fortamet. I also tried an Immodium, but that didn't stop it. Figure just let it all out. I was always regular bm's anyway, but since starting the Fortamet, let's just say, I cleaned my toilet real good today! Nausea is at its worse right now, blessed are you if you haven't had that possible symptom.

Hang in there
i had the nausea till the end of last week...it wasn't drastic, i wasn't vomiting or anything but it did let me know it was there.
i don't think i need to use Immodium as it's still "solid" i haven't had the squishes at all since taking Metformin, it's always solid...several times a day.
btw, daft question...what does AF stand for? i can't seem to figure out what all these abbreviations are...
i've figured out the "O" as "ovulate" but what's...
AF?
DH?
CD?
(i'm sure there's more...) :p
I take 1 -2 doses of metamucil a day for extra fiber. It works really well! And it is suposed to healthy for your colon as it removes the bad bacteria.....
