Hi, I was wondering if anyone had a good recipe for a tomato salsa? I am following the weight watchers plan and think I could probably make it using no point foods but need some pointers to start with.

Here is how I make salsa.....

One can of rotel
1/2 white onion or 3 stems of green onion (depending on your preference)
jalepenos (to taste)
chopped fresh cilantro (to taste) (I use about 2 tablespoons)
salt & pepper
1/2 tsp of cumin

throw in blender until consistancy is what you desire.

Also squeeze some lime juice and stir in about 1 tsp of that. gives the salsa a good little kick.

Enjoy!

Rotel is a brand of canned tomatoes--but you can use any kind that is just tomatoes, too! (Don't get the kind with stuff added like basil, in my opinion--those are weird for salsa.) This is basically the same as my recipe except that we use more onion.

exactly it is just canned tomatoes and jalepenos.....you could throw in fresh and it will taste just as good if not better.....
