My 9 yr old DAUGHTER decided that she wanted to take drums. So I signed her up and she had her first lesson today and she ROCKED OUT!!! Im so proudddddddddddddddd. The teacher said she has a natural ability and she will do great in it. By the end of her 1/2 hr lesson she was doing 3 beat rythems with 2 sticks and food snare drum! It was a great ego boost for her and she needed it.

Well, good for her. My mom and my little sister both played percussion back in their school days. From what I understand, you really have to have natural rhythm, because they can't really teach that very well. BTW, she has the cutest smile in that bottom pic.
