Red face Tonights the night, wish me luck!

I just got my rx for met filled so i start tonight. The rx i had was for 500 3x a day. But i asked for er because i heard it helps with side effects. So i take 2 750 at bedtime. Does anyone else take their complete 1500 at one time? I know im supposed to take only 1 a day for a week or 2 before i start taking the whole 1500. I'm just terrified of the side effects! Ok, just wanted to share that im on the met wagon. Hope everyone has a great weekend! Christy

Hope all goes well for you! I started out slow and that is best to avoid side effects. With the ER I have heard you can take the whole dose at once IF that's what your doc prescribes. I think my FIL takes his all at once. I'm on the regular Met, so I do 1/2 a pill every morning and a full one at night (1000 mg pills). My side effects were not as bad as many people have. You just learn what you cannot tollerate with Met. I can eat salad most days, but some days it really makes me sick. I haven't found any other foods that I cannot tollerate on Met.

Good Luck.

I started 2 months ago, 500mg in the am, 500mg in the pm. I was lucky, no side effects. I hope all goes well for you, too.
