Default Is it too late? PLEASE HELP!!

Im pissed....and hurt...and disappointed. DF couldnt *perform* last night (probably from the pressure as this has never happend before). Yesterday was my O day and 36hrs after trigger. This morning i still have EWCM. Do you guys think its too late for me to try for this month or is it a bust?

I would definitely BD this morning... have you BD'd at all during the 36 hours after your trigger? Sperm can live up to 48 hours once inside, so if you've done it at all since your trigger, you should be okay. Definitely do it this morning.

This seems to be a pretty common thing with the men, I think there was a thread about this last week. The pressure of performing on cue, and when it means SO MUCH to us, can be a little much for them sometimes. Especially when they are expected to do it 3 or 4 times in the 48 hours after the trigger. Some women get around this by not telling their partners when they've triggered/are ovulating, though my DH knows my cycles too well to try that.

Definitely BD this morning, the sooner the better. Good luck!

I had the same experience last night. I've been pressuring DH for the past 36 hours (he knew what was in store for him once I told him the re said, "No IUI, only BD this month!") So I triggered Friday at 8-ish...bd Friday 8pm and Sat 8am...Sat 8pm was just a no go..he gave it a good try though! So...I know what you mean and how you feel! We're going to give it a whirl one more time today...at some point.

Ya know what else? My RE had me start supplements today (estradiol, progesterone suppositories and prometrium)...so is it already too late? IDK...IUI would've def. been easier!!!! And I didn't have a change much in the CM department...a bit, but not like previous months...oh who knows!

I would still bd for sure! This is something that happens to some men. I'm sure he feels awful. It's just so much pressure sometimes. I was also wondering if you've done some bd'ing either just before you triggered and/or since the trigger. Like the pp mentioned, sperm can live for a couple days (sometimes even longer) in ewcm so don't lose hope! Wishing you all the best!!

I totally can relate. What we ended up doing sometimes if that happened was I would give him an Instead cup and get him to take care of himself, then I would lie and wait after putting in some pre-seed. Then when he was done I would put more pre-seed in the cup and then insert it and lie around for awhile. We did that on the day that I ovulated this cycle, and I got a BFP! Not sure if that was the magic moment or the two days previous that we actually BD'd, but still... in case it happens again, there's that option!

We bd'ed early this morning...around 730a just in case. I am sooo nervous because I dont want to waste (in a sense) the trigger shot. I really hope this is our month. I didnt tell him that I had triggered because of this very thing...and it still happened. We also bd'd Wed, Thurs, Friday morning (right before trigger) and Friday night, none on Sat (O), and this morning (Sunday). I really hope this is enough even though we didnt on O day.

You should be absolutely fine....Dee's right, he was tapped out! The same thing happened with DH this month. I triggered on Tuesday morning, we BD'd Tues.pm, Wed.am, Wed.pm.....but Thursday he was worn out. I tried, but he was done! It's perfectly normal!
It seems like you covered your bases pretty well, in fact some doctors recommend BDing every other day anyway.

Thanks so much for the reassurance ladies! I tried to BD before the trigger so that there would be sperm waiting for the egg...I definitely wanted to BD on O but as we know that didnt work out. lol Hopefully all of the before-after BDing gets the job done. Thanks again for your help with this one!! :-)
