Default Too late to try femara or soy?

Here's some background. I don't ovulate on my own. I've been trying acupuncture and herbs this time to ttc but no such luck. It's been about 6 months since I started the tcm route.

After another seventy-something day cycle I kick started a new cycle with provera and I was hoping maybe this time I could ovulate on my own. I recently found out that my acupuncturist is thinking that I will need to go the femara route after all.

I'm afraid this will be another wasted cycle and I'll have to wait another 2 months or more before I can try the femara on CD5.

So I was wondering if it would be too late to start femara or soy isoflavones on CD10. My OB/GYN's nurse said no that it's too late to start the femara, but I'm curious why the specific cycle day you start taking it is so important since my body isn't working right anyway.

Any info would be helpful. Also if there are any suggestions on how I can help ovulation this late in my cycle I'm all ears.

Thanks!

i was on a previous post and i know one woman started femara late in her cycle, but i guess some docs are very traditional. as for the soy, you can start it later in your cycle. use if for 5 days. most women start off with 80mgs, but if you some use 120mgs. best of luck. it sucks missing a potential cycle.

My Doctor made me start Femara on CD 18. She said since we know you are anovulatory, it doesn't matter when we start.
