Default Too many vitamins?

My hubby insists that I'm taking too many pills a day, esp since I threw up the other day after taking my medicine (I told him maybe i was finally pregnant, but he thinks it was too many vitamins at once). I think I'm fine, but I wanted to see what you ladies think. I take 500mg Metformin twice a day, a pre-natal, 500mg Evening Primrose Oil twice a day, one baby aspirin, plus one biotin, b-complex, and silica supplement once a day so my hair will stop falling out. Also, I sometimes take a Tums or 2 if I feel I didn't get enough calcium throughout the day. What do you guys think? My doctor only knows about the Met and pre-natal, I will ask him at my next appt if I'm taking too many supplements, but I also wanted your opinions. Thanks!

I'm taking nearly the same amount of supplements, so I'm not one to judge. I feel like each one is necessary for my quality of life, and the list I take came from a dr who knows that all these supplements work well together.

when you threw up, what pills did you take? I've learned the hard way that if I take my B-6 on an empty stomach, I end up throwing up. checking with your dr to make sure your supplements aren't counteracting the effectiveness of the met is a good idea, though.

Thanks for your response! When I threw up, i had eaten breakfast about a half hour prior. I took my metformin (500mg), the b-complex, biotin, baby aspirin, silica, evening primrose oil, and pre-natal. And I had chewed 2 antacids (for calcium, not because I had heartburn). I think I will space out the supplements throughout the day instead of taking them all at the same time.
