Angry too much hair

i suffer with hirsutism. the hair on my tummy and breasts and fingers....those i can deal with, but those hairs on my chin and neck and jaw line really really irritate me. I NEED A SOLUTION!!! Can someone lte me know of any meds they have taken that have improved their hirsutism problem. it is the most unattractive thing that i have seen and i really want to get rid of them.

I was on Yasmin BCPs for one cycle to prepare for a fertility treatment. I loved it!!! My body hair/legs arms grew back much slower and thinner after I waxed or shaved.

My facial hair was thinner and slower, too and my acne and oily skin all but diappeared. It was wonderful and that was after only one month.

Ps. I did break out the first few days, but after that my skin has never looked better. I have hated all BCPs before Yasmin.

Default Question

What is this Yasmin BCP?? Do I ask my doctor for it and she will know about it? I'm interested in anything to help with the hair. Any information on this is much appreciated. Jean

It is a newish brand of Birth Control Pills(BCP). You should also ask about Spiro. It is a testosterone inhibitor. The full name is something like Spirolactine???? I am not sure. You cannot take Spiro if you are planning to become pg or think there is anyway you might accidentally become pg. It is very dangerous for the baby. Most doctors make you take BCPs with Spiro, so Yasmin would be a good choice, but you might just want to start on the Yasmin and see how you like it.

I had tried various other BCPs and was not happy with them, but Yasmin seems different.

You might have to make a post asking for the full name of Spiro if you are interested.

Thanks Shoot The Moon. I think I'm going to ask my doctor about the Yasmin. I was on Spiro once and it didn't do anything for me
Maybe I should try it again? Jean

I don't know, I have never used it...I think I have heard that it takes up to a year to work???? I am not sure. Just start with the Yasmin and see how you like it.

Also, with the Yasmin I was on a diet when I started it and was reluctant that it would slow down my loss, but I was able to continue to lose weight.

Good luck
