Ok for YEARS (decades really) i have battled excess hair all over - chin, lip, sideburn, arms, legs, chest - you name it!! My head hair was always EXTRA THICK and my hair dressers always commented on the thickness. Well now that I have figured out the whole PCOS thing and have been treating it - i am delighted to say my excess hair is under control (not gone just under control). I am on Spiro 100 mg/day, Met 1500 (just increased from 1000), Byetta 10 mg 2x/day, and Vaniqua when I remember - at least once a day on chin, lip, sideburns. But now my head hair is falling out at an alarming rate ... I get TONS always - just run my hands through my hair and I get 5-10 hairs ... in the shower its a battle, then my brush is always full, its on my clothes, the bathroom floor!! UGH everywhere!!! My hair dresser says not to worry as long as it is not coming out in 'clump' in one place leaving a bald spot. But I am concerned - I've never seen so much hair loss!! and I can feel a significant difference when I pull my hair back (pony tail).
anyone else in this boat ... any solutions?
Will I go BALD????????????????? no one seems to be concerned - not even my Endo! Currently I still have a decent amount of hair, but if this 'shedding' continues I am afraid my new growth will not be able to keep up with the loss ...... scary!!!!!!!!!!!! TIA
