Anyone else experience this? I'm on my 2nd week at 2000 milligrams. Most people have commented on the meds causing diarrhea, I'm having the OPPOSITE problem...
If I eat something too fatty I will be running to the bathroom, but if I dont eat enough fiber (or fat sometimes) I will be WISHING to have to run to the bathroom LOL!!
Anymore I just dont know what to expect!!

Well, it's good to know I'm not alone. I was doing ok losing weight the first 3 or 4 weeks on it, now I'm stuck. I guess I need to start exercising again. I've been so tired though that I don't feel like doing it. I will just have to push myself to do it. I don't feel quite as hungry on the medicine, but I don't think I'll lose weight without exercise.
I,m with you on the constipation.At times i've been that bad i couldn,t get to sleep cos i felt that fat and bloated.I seem to have got back to my usual daily self now.
I'm tired al the time to with no motivation, i've been decorating for 2 weeks now and have put up 6 strips of wall paper only another 26 to go i might finish it by the summer at this rate.

I am not sure how many of you have read Samuel Thatchers book on PCOS, but in there he tells why that happens to those of us on Glucophage. He compares it to the use of Anabuse for alcoholics. When alcoholics use Anabuse and drink it makes them ill. The idea I guess if you know that while taking Glucophage that you will have diarhea after eating certain foods it will steer you away from that particular food. I have that problem when I eat a high carb meal. It makes sense I guess but can be annoying especially if you are unaware of your reaction to certain foods.
I look at it as a good thing in a way, just means the medication is working.

Just glad to know others are constipated from XR also. I thought I was the only one! I had severe diarhea before XR. I am pretty much normal now - even a few days of real constipation! I haven't changed my eating habits either. (Although, they could use some chaging for the better.)
