Unhappy Took HPT tonight- too early and it's negative

So tonight I took a home pregnancy test (First Response) and it came out negative. I kept telling myself not to, because it's too early, but I did it anyway.

I'm on my first round of 50mg Clomid this cycle (also on Met). 7/12 was my cycle day 1, so I'm on day 19. I have an appointment for bloodwork tomorrow afternoon to see if I've ovulated. I think I ovulated, but can't be sure (CM was right consistency, etc). I already feel pregnant, but I know it's too early and it's all in my head.

I have that feeling again like I wasted another whole cycle without getting pregnant. This was the first cycle in a LONG time where I had a really healthy AF (and not just *sorry, graphic* brown old blood).

This negative gave me a downer, even though I keep telling myself it's too early for the test to be accurate. I need a pick me up! Is there still hope that I'm pregnant? Please post if you got early negatives and ended up pregnant after all! I could use the support.

Also, tomorrow when I go for my bloodwork- I know they can try and tell if I ovulated, but is it still too early for bloodwork to show if I'm pregnant or not?

It's definitely way too early to tell if you're preggo, even with blood work. So there's still hope...just wait until 14 days AFTER you ovulated to test next time!

I'm so anxious, and these HPT are TRICKY and of course advertise "Results 5 days before missed period!". Of course I know that the small print advertises "in .533% of women". Good. I'm glad to hear that. I feel like the wait is forever and ever. This is my shortest cycle yet (under 83451329 days!) but I feel like it's my loooooongest.

That was way too early to test. I am on cd 19 and just ovulated yesterday. I won't know for another 10 days or so! You have time so hang in there and join the 2ww...it is absolutely dreadful!

I usually held out to test. With my last pregnancy I tested 2 days before my BETA was scheduled. I got a negative HPT on 12DPO and a positive blood test and positive HPT on 14DPO.

Don't give up hope and if you can - put down the test sticks till your at least 14 DPO!

Websissy, I'm sure a lot of women were happy to hear that you were negative, and then 2 days later, positive. I think there is a lot of people that test too soon. I know I still have 9 days til my beta but I think about buying a test every day 'just in case' lol

And I think it may take a little bit longer for your cycle on clomid--is that correct, anyone?!? So there's DEFINITELY still hope!!!

Thanks, Ladies! This lifted my spirits a bit. I just need to be patient, but this waiting game drives me nuts! And I look for every possible sign. I swear my husband thinks I'm crazy because he walks into the room and I'm grabbing my boobs to see if they feel tender!! At this point even if it were painful I think it's just because they're sore from me grabbing them!

One more question- I'm on CD20. I keep harrassing my husband to BD because I"m paranoid that I'm going to ovulate late. At what point is it safe to say that I've already ovulated if I'm going to this cycle?

When did you do Clomid - what CD's? I did it on CD2-6 and usually O'd around CD12-14, but as late as CD16. Some women have O'd late though - I'd keep trying - can't hurt!
