I completed my dose of Provera on 9th and waiting for AF to show, its my first dose coz my last period was in May. I am kinda worried that AF might probably not show, doc has also prescribed clomid (50mg) on CD 3-7 along with a blood work on CD3, everything is ready but AF is taking its time. I have been having a lot of cramps and back pain. How long does it normally take and when should i call the doc?
It's normal for it to take up to 14 post provera for a period to come. That said, if mine doesn't come within 7 days, its not going to come. Provera usually works for me, but not always, this last time it didn't work, but my lining was at 3.something so the doc let me go ahead with my next cycle.

I've taken it twice and both times it came 3 days after the last pill. I know it can take up to two weeks but I'm glad I didn't have to wait that long!
I have taken it twice. The first time it came after 4 or 5 days, the second time after 2 or 3 (sorry about not being mroe specific, my brain is fuzzy from all the back-to-school craziness!)
Usually, it takes me about 3 days to get AF. But, the last time I took it, which was in June, it took 10 days after the last pill for AF to come.

Mine has fluctuated from 3 days to 2 weeks! My RE lets me take the 10mg 2 pills per day for 5 days to make the wait shorter, which is nice! I'm waiting right now, too - it's been 4 days since my last dose...

I'm waiting for it too. its been 10 days post provera and still no sign of AF except for extreme water retention and breast tenderness.
I'm not sure what to do next cause usually it works after 5 days.

hmm, wish I get it soon, been without AF for 4 months and 4 days as of today!!!!

i have the clomid dose all ready...and i have breast tenderness too, it pains.
I took 10mg of Provera for 10 days a couple weeks ago (first pill Aug 9th - last pill Aug 18). AF arrived 7 days after I took the last pill (on Aug 25th).
I could definitely tell that AF was on her way after I finished the prescription...I generally don't have any PMS/Pre-AF symptoms but a few days after finishing my last pill (about 3 days before AF started) I started feeling bloated, having the most horrible cramps ever, and had absolutely no energry. Unfortunately these symptoms continued until CD3.
I really don't think my body handles Provera well - it causes me to have an AF from hell each time I take it.
Good luck to you TTC#2! I am in the same boat. I have not had a normal AF on my own for almost 9 months. I am also hoping to start Clomid soon if I get a AF. Today I took my last pill and also waiting on AF. I also feel crampy, so I hope it happens in the next few days. Keep us posted!
you are not gonna believe this.....I got my Af just couple of hours ago...its funny that this morning I wrote about how I dont think I'm getting my Af after 10 days post provera..and here it comes...I'm so happy I got it finally after 2 months.
I have a plan for this cycle
cup of sage tea after day 7 until the next cycle
Npc cream from day 14 (the usp one thou,cause last time the wild yam which is a natural progesterone cream didnt work)
and might add vitex the last week of the cycle..
hope I get AF naturally next time

AF still taking its own time, will let u know when the nice lady arrives. but what happens after 14 days of the last pill of provera, if i still dont get my periods, does the doc prescribe another round or get me into another med?
TTC #2, I had the opposite problem in November. I took Provera to stop a bleed. Then, after the last pill, I had a withdrawal bleed. The withdrawal bleed refused to stop, so I had to take a 21-day dose of Provera. So...every doctor has a routine that they follow. But hopefully, AF will come for you and you won't have to worry about that.

Well, its been a week since my last provera pill and no sign yet. Called my doc and she told me to wait for another week, test for prego and then take another shot at provera.
whats going on with sissa30 and worthit....got ur AF?
