Hi everyone! I use a acne cream w/ Benzoyl peroxide as the main ingredient. I apply at night before bedtime, and I have noticed that my pillows constantly have a "bleached" look to them. Husbands never have this look, so I know its not the fabric....is there anyone else who has this problem? What is a solution? TIA!

Benzoyl peroxide will bleach any fabrics it comes in contact with. Sorry not really any solutions for the problem. If you put it on just before bedtime maybe put it on a bit earlier so it absorbs into the skin? Not sure if that would make a difference.

I have ruined so many pillowcases from my Proactiv solution!! Like the previous poster said, there really isn't anything you can do.

Thanks for the help ladies....sigh....the upside of this is that my white pillow cases are always a nice crisp white!

I use products with both benzoyl peroxide & salicylic acid in them every night & I haven't had the pillowcase problem. It has bleached my pj top if I forget & wipe a finger on it right after applying. I wonder if it depends also on the fabric. My pillowcases are yellow & green & I haven't found any bleach spots yet.

I ruined a sheet set and comforter from benzoyl peroxide acne treatments. There realy isn't anything you can do. I had to quit using it because I bleached a shirt of mine too. If you put it on earlyier before bed it may help but I don't know for sure.

Meds: 750mg met ER,500mg met, 25mcg synthroid
