Default topical spironolactone?

I'm afraid to take spiro, since I dehydrate ridiculously easily as it is. (In fact, I'm afraid my aldosterone might already be low. I really don't know though.)

Has anyone tried topical application of spiro for their hair loss? Any results or comments?

Thanks!

Topical? Wow I'm gonna have to look into this. I can't stand taking as many pills as I do so if I could get this topically, well I'd be as happy as a rabbit in a lettuce field!

Unfortunately I don't think you can get it at your regular pharmacy. Perhaps from a compounding pharmacy? And a couple of places sell it online. People have also experimented with making their own by crushing up pills and mixing them into Dermovan.

I filled a spiro prescription once although I don't think it would be a good idea at all for me to take, so I wonder if it'd be worth the trouble to try to make my own topical application.

I'm so skeptical that anything will make any difference!
