It's been awhile since we've had a TO gtg, and I was wondering if
anyone would be interested in planning a new one? Sadly, I was unable
to make any of the ones that were going on previously, but I'm hoping
to make it if we can figure out some new plans. I'm willing to try to
organize an evening out, but DH is a graphic designer who works from
home. Because he's on the computers constantly, my on-line time is very
limited these days, especially with my two babies. Regardless, I'd like
to see this happen. If folks can be patient with my lack of computer
time, I'll start the ball rolling!
Any takers on an evening out? I was very tentatively thinking of dinner somewhere downtown.
Thoughts?

I am so sorry I haven't been around. Here I am, the one that brought this TO get-together up, and I haven't had time to do a thing about it. My apologies.
I hope everyone is well. At the moment, DH and I are waiting to hear whether or not we're getting a house we really want. We were going to buy but have decided to wait until we know for sure where exactly we want to live. In the meantime, we're going to rent. We're currently living on the 2nd and 3rd floor of a semi, but it's just too small and the neighbours downstairs are annoying and really trashy (they moved here in August). Anyway, the new place has a room for both kids, a backyard of our own, a basement, my own washer and dryer, etc. etc. I love it! Thing is, the landlord lives in Vancouver so we're waiting for his approval via an agent. I hate waiting! Needless to say, I won't have much time on the computer since we'll be moving in three weeks and I've got a lot to do! I just wanted to touch base with you all and let you know that I still haven't given up on this idea! DH has more time off now (he can babysit evenings), and DD and DS are on pretty much the same sleep schedule. This means - if other things ever settle down - I hope to arrange this get-together and get out for once with some lovely cysters!

Good luck with the house rental Christine & when you are ready to try another gtg or if anyone else wants to attempt it please let me know & I'll make it a sticky.
Since I too will be moving in a couple weeks I will no longer be able to attempt to arrange Toronto area gtg's.
But look forward to reading updates & following along with your meets.

In the past with meets we would set a date & location and people came. If you want to try doing this it will get things going. People say that they would like a gtg but it won't happen unless someone takes charge.
It can be a hassle with complaints of days & locations(you are never going to please everyone) but the end result makes it worth while.
There are a few of us that remained friends after meeting up at past meets and really made all the effort of planning very rewardable.

I'd do it, but I don't know much of the downtown Toronto area at all, live in Pickering now and grew up in Markham (only travel downtown now and then) and that's probably the best central place for everyone to meet...

Are you sure about going downtown though???
