Default Torsion of the Ovary

It's been a few years now since I've had it, but has anyone else experienced Ovary Torsion? It was nearly the most excruciating pain of my life - the only thing worse was my 6mm kidney stone that required surgery!

I bring it up for two reasons: one, I worry that it could happen again and am wondering what the likelihood is, and, two, I still have recurring bits of pain.

I had the pain for several hours, went to the emergency room, and they determined that my ovary must be twisted (somehow) and not getting enough blood. But, by the time they finally got me in for a transvag u/s many hours later, the pain was gone. That was my first transvag u/s, and while they found no active cysts, they found scar tissue? I've only had one u/s since then, and no new cysts. Bloodflow to both ovaries, at that time, was normal.

I guess I'm really just putting feelers out there to see if anyone has any experience or knowledge about this. I don't know if the residual pain I have is related specifically to my ovary or not - but it feels like it's in the same place. Could it be endometriosis pain instead?

I'm without insurance and a doc, or I'd pose my questions there...

Thanks!
K

Yep, I have had it. I lost my left ovary due to a 6 pound cyst that twisted itself around my fallopian tube and cut off all blood flow to my ovary, and the pain was so bad that I wanted to die - but it did come and go suddenly until the end when it was non-stop knee-buckling pain. I put off going to the ER for a few weeks b/c I had no insurance and wish now I wouldnt have done that. I'd get it checked out - but hopefully it turns out to be not that big of a deal! Good luck!

I've done Clomid, femara, and injections. Nothing seems to help.
