Default Totally clear skin for the first time in 20 yrs.

Hi,

I usually post on the infertility thread. I noticed last night that my skin is completely acne free for the first time since I was 11 or 12. I have made many changes to my diet since finding out about my PCOS. I have given up potatoes, alcohol, trans fat, white flour, white rice, table butter( switched to soy butter)high fructose corn syrup, and recently I gave up ice cream and cut back on chloresterol as well as completely giving up caffeine.

I did this to try and get a handle on my PCOS to get pregnant, not to improve my complexion. I am just amazed. I never had horrible skin, just constant bad skin. I just wanted to post this here in case it can help anyone.

I am still more shocked than anything else. I am so used to seeing pimples that I just keep touching my face. I am not sure which food turned the tide.

Wow, good for you! I wish I had your will power. I don't know how in the world I will ever give up caffeine.

I don't think i could give up potatoes! I know i need to eat healthier, you think it's possible to get clear skin, and eat only healthy foods (with the exception of potatoes)?
I don't know if it's acne, or eczema or something else on my face, but it appears in the same places, and some in some spots it doesn't ever go away Grrr! So irratating. I've tried alot of acne stuff, and lotion but nothing works, only thing that worked for me is BCPs which made me feel sick, but made my skin look "better".

Cutting out refined sugars does wonders. When I'm good about watching my diet, I have amazingly clear skin. I know I'm falling off the wagon a bit when I start seeing spots.
