Default Totally tired all the time

So I have had PCOS for probably around 12-14 years. I have always feel listless. I have big goals and end up running out of steam. I only have about 2 hours of hard work worth every 2 or 3 days. Does any one else go through this? These weak times come and go through the year. It's almost like my hormones want to make me lazy & crazy!

I am so with you. My husband and mother are amazed at how much I can sleep and how hard it is to get up and do ANYTHING sometimes. You are not alone!!!

Well, I have sleep apnea and hypothyroidism and BOTH can make you CRAZY tired.
I was DX with sleep apnea almost 5 years ago and have been getting treated ever since; my grandfather and brother both have it. In July I found out my thyroid finally made it over the TSH=5 border and I was officially hypo. Apparently, Feb 08 my number was 4.9, but no one told me I was .1 away from being hypo. Stupid DR should have put me on meds then. Oh, also found out my dad has been on meds for 10 years. THANKS FOR TELLING ME DAD!
If you do have a thyroid issue it creates MORE fertility problems and can lead to miscarriages so that is a must to be checked. I always had dark circles under my eyes, after being treated for sleep apnea it seems they are better but not perfect.
I also noticed earlier this year that I started loosing the outer edge of my eyebrow. That was a symptom of hypothyroidism and I never knew. I've been on meds for 3 months and last test my TSH went from 7.4 to 4.8 then 5.2! They have to up in small doses.

My thyroid is fine (now) I had a child hood problem with an almost inactive thyroid (runs in the fam-bam THANX NANA!). I just feel out of breath and tired and sometimes I'll be a busy bee all week other times I look around and WANT to clean, I WANT to do dishes (ok I'm lieing ... nobody WANTS to do dishes) but I just don't have enough energy. I barely have enough to haul my heiny up and get to bed, like an hour or two early. During these times of the year I usually want peace, quiet, or soft music. It's so WEIRD!

It is more common than you know, I know my DH is amazed at how much I can sleep and how quick I can. Some of it comes from being trained by babies (sleep when you can) though I have issues with afternoons and being soo tired. It doesn't seem to matter how much sleep I get. Afternoon naps are definately wanted but not exactly an option. It sucks as I need to be productive all day. You are not alone when it comes to fighting the tired a lot of the time.

Guess I can stop thinking im just plain lazy. lol At least I don't have to feel as guilty as I have in the past. My DH will run circles around me when were working on a project together and while he's got twice the work done as I do (he has ADHD so yah were on two opposite ends of the energy levels) I'm ready for a break!

I felt the same as you all have and I have just found out I have low levels of Vitamin D, so maybe get tested for this, it also causes you to have general aches and pains too.
