finally got a scan ultra and trans vag tomorrow
BUT i have magically lost the info sheet attatched to my appointment grrrrrrrrrr a recycling mad husband///
does anyone know if you can / they allow you to have a trans vaginal internal scan when you are bleeding? im sure you can but not that sure...im not full on bleeding yet, but for the first time in about 7 years starting to show at around the same ish sorta time, in respect to last month...in loads of pain i cant cant seem to get it flowing grrrrrrrrrrr...i hate being probed dont mind the ultra sound but internal when im in so much pain will mighty horrible,,,but needs to happen
if anyone can help that would be fabby thanks ladies xxxx
Yes, they will allow you to still have the ultrasound. The bleeding does not mess up the test. It's very messy but they will get the job done!

eeeee thanks very much for your reply..wooo hooo mess! well just want it to be 8am tomorrow already urrrrrhh hate waiting...least its very early in the day and i can come home and lie down with hot water bottles! ~~ lucky my hubby works from home, i may get fed too, if im good!
Yes you can get a scan whilst you are bleeding, I had one done just a few weeks ago.

thankyou kindly ~ i hope it wasnt too painful for you? im feeling pretty relaxed at the mo, so tired though despite good food and early night last night...i really hate the delay on coming full on and how any tiny stress can stop it...
think my mum going away on me birthday (new years day) and starting to bleed on the morn of me 32nd b day grrrr achhh, kinda needed her on the end of a phone had the worst b day ever! cryed almost all day!! agony
anyway i am waffling now!...and continues to wafffffle.........haha

i have lost weight again since august which is cool, got a very healthy slow release diet,,,but havent really moved about since the summer been in so much pain, doc gave me codeine/paracet and pure codeine to relieve some of the pain... can some one tell me what skin tags are? i have lost weight on my belly tire, and the left side of my tummy is really sagging......plus only ever use hot water bottle on left side back and front and i have HUGE RED purple marks almost like burns they look so horrible..anyone else have this after prolonged heat relief??? i asked the doc and he said the heat would not make things inside worse...but i kinda feel like im making stuff
'breed' inside me, i could possibly be mad....just my way of thinking but he has dismissed it......
ohhh id love to meet someone nearby..that i can have a cuppa with who has pcos too....... most people have lost interest of me being laid up and zonked out, i am in wiltshire, anyone nearby? i think i may be posting in the wrong place for cyster companionship!? im not good with forums...elp!
scan was OK...was made to feel ok to start with re modesty etc
i was not allowed to look at the screen,as i did on my first scan i felt the internal she didnt go as far in as my first scan it was all so quick the ultra sound was soooooo fast
conclusion she said my left looks pcosy!?? erm that will be the cysts then
my lining looked a 'BIT' thick but because i told her i was due to bleed and had been on and off (not full on since jan 1st) she said that was to be expected, i asked a few other questions
she said, wait for it.........PAIN IS NOT ASSOCIATED WITH PCOS

AND WHERE i was pointing was not my ovary but my bowel
which has left me thinking GREAT (ok she may be right, i do have huge probs with regular visits to loo...and this will be my next step with my gp
i dunno what to say..i think im pleased there seems to be no probs aprt from being pcosy / cysty..!!! but the bowel thing that has me stumped
left side cronic pain everyday.....im kinda left wondering what the hell is it, it could be so many things, the doc put me onto pure codeine to sort me poos out...as i wasnt keeping anything in
im / we are trying to decipher my long list of blood test results (tests were 1st dec 08) as i asked the doc to send them onto me...and i think we have worked out that the pcos side of things is improving with weight loss...BUT why they constant pain is so so awful every day in my left side low down...so confused right now :O(

im going back to docs asap, i have been looking at my blood results and i have a reasonable increase of white cells ~ im really scared right now to be honest, he was meant to call me today but he didnt..grrr...all these years with my bowel probs i have put down to the pcos...hence re blood screen and scans....(which i reckon i could have done better myself to be honest or my hubby...not very long in there, i felt like i was invading their space / chats / coffee morning!) umm think im still pretty angry! gonna have to calm down soon i think!
im just so very confused as the tech at the hospital was quite sharp and turned her back on me not wanting to answer any of my simple questions, she just said its not your ovary thats your bowel...and we cant do bowel tests here! ( as if i was thick as muck!) ~~~ she said cant see any problems (pcos is not classed as a 'problem'??? ) and the anoying ...no pain with pcos thing...grrr... non of this is helping my stress levels and now 9 days later still no period and through experience im prob gonna skip this one...AHHHH...and no sleep last night due to pain even after
6 x 30mg of codeine.... and the same tonight too still awake at 7 am!
im pretty stressed and worried right now...and have the joys of bum scopes / biops im sure very soon....lucky im so up for it now ~~ really have had enough of this pain, i just hope its not serious, i will be going through my blood results with my doc ...how we are gonna do all of this in a ten minute (double) app i dont know!

kel Ive just been reading through your post and the bit about your bowel on your scan stuck out, when i went for a ultrasound scan and internal scan in 2005 there was a black blob on the screen and i asked the sonographer what it was i thought it was my ovaries, turns out it was my bowel, i later mentioned this to the gyny when he was looking at the results and he said everything was fine and dandy and shouldnt worry about it, the in july 2007 got diagnosed with pcos. the pain is still the but im living with it im taking dyhydrocodine 30mg 4x a day. Hopefully you will get some proper help, and when u go to the gyny if u dont feel fullfilled with the answers ask for a second opioin. good luck, xxxxx
