Default TransPCOSLesOrama

New to this forum but I figured I might as well express my feelings.
I was diagnosed with PCOS a few years ago (and still continue to deny actually having it).

I’ve always presented myself as a lesbian, and I truly have no problems being with other woman. However I always have the internal desire to be with men. Not the way one would imagine though, I would like to be with men as a man.

This is always very confusing to some people, how they can’t find any heterosexuality in me. I consider myself a lesbian still but I always consider myself a transsexual individual. There is really no word for what I would really like to call myself, which is more of a ‘third’ gender. I feel that one does not need to conform to that of one gender and that a person can be both at the same time.

I haven’t thought too deeply about having a sex change, as I’m still pretty young. I’m incredibly accepting of who I am…besides the factor that PCOS is involved with it.

Does anyone else with PCOS feel this way? Is a hormone imbalance really the cause of why I’m ‘unique’ like this. I hate to think that pills or some more hormones would somehow change the way that I think. I feel like the person who I am, is both a lesbian female and a gay male.

When I speak about myself occasionally I’ll mention having PCOS and saying it is a blood and hormone disorder, which the person listening automatically seems to understand and blame it all on that.

Currently I just take birth control, and haven’t really had my menstrual cycle in around five months. (No risk of pregnancy) Of course logically that would mean more testosterone and some serious hormone problem, but my mind never seems to waver when I’m on or off my period or even when I took different medicines for PCOS.

All I wanted to know is if anyone else felt a different gender here and didn’t or did believe it had something to do with PCOS. For myself I’ll most likely to continue to deny that there is any connection.

Any input is fine.

There is a trans guy, David, that I have seen around. I don't think what you are feeling is totally uncommon. Check out this thread.
