Lately I’ve been feeling much better. I have a regular exercise regimen—which I think has made the most difference—I eat better, and the metfo seems to be working. My depression has gone, I have much more energy lately and I’ve been thinking about traveling. I especially want to get back out to Hawaii, which I love so much. Ideally, I’d like to have a timeshare out there and visit regularly, but what if my symptoms return? Before I got treatment, I was really depressed and unmotivated. But then another part of me says “cross that bridge when it comes” and I shouldn’t put that concern in the equation. Advice is most welcome.

I can only speak for myself, but I just returned home after traveling Europe for four months and I can honestly say that I never felt better than while I was away. Depression subsided dramatically as did the fatigue, I felt fit and energetic and my cycles finally regulated. Now that I've been home, I'm starting to feel like before: tired, out of shape, more blue than usual. For me, traveling and getting away from my routine actually made me feel better
You should definitely do whatever you feel most comfortable with, but I'd say go for it!
Best of luck!

Thanks Just K. I feel like changing the scenery for sure. For me the worst part is depression because then, I don't want to do anything but sleep. I think the exercise and a nice trip will do the most to beat it.

Exercise is such an important component to health. As long as you stay committed to your health, you should enjoy life and everywhere it takes you for as long as you can. As far as timeshares: I work as a travel agent and I’ve seen people who love them and those who had some really bad experiences. Timeshareconsumergroup.org is great objective resource that can inform your decision better than I could. But keep kickin’ butt and stay strong.
