Question Travelling and weather changes and oily skin?

I went on a vacation recently out of state where the weather is more dry (I live in a humid state) and for some reason my skin dried up bigtime (no problems with oiliness) but I broke out with red rash and blackheads badly. When I got home my face got oily again and I stopped breaking out.

What's up with that?? Because of the oiliness (which I HATE) I don't get blackheads as much and no redness, but with drier skin, I break out??

Anyone have an idea as to why?? I've been using African Black Soap and I'm kind of concerned maybe it broke me out. Not sure. I think I'm going to switch back to Dove.

Thanks!

Yup, no more African Black Soap for me. Bummer..it really cut down on the oiliness too!!! Oh well.

Thanks!

Yes, I believe my skin is actually much worse in drier climates. I moved from Colorado to las veags and my skin has gotten worse because of it. The skin gets too dry and produces even more oil to compensate. I also thinking the stress of traveling can also increase acne. Hope that helps.

Did you go swimming in a chlorinated pool? It took me forever to figure out that is why my skin always got worse when I vacationed. Otherwise, yes, weather can really effect the condition of your skin - even from season to season.
