Hello fellow cysters!
I am actually a new member but I was diagnosed with PCOS in April 2005.
After my doctor explained PCOS he told me that the only thing I could do to treat it was to take my birth control pills.
Now that I've been on them for years, I feel as if I am not doing enough.
I desperately want children but right now is not the perfect timing.
Besides treating the symptoms, (weight loss, thinning hair, excess facial hair, etc.), should there be something else I should be doing now???

BCP is not the only treatment for PCOS. I was on just pills for years and it did nothing to help me. You need to go to an Endocrinolost or a GYN that does Endo also.
bcp are not a good way to treat pcos! half of women with bcp react badly like me!! xx my pcos got 3times worse when i came off xx

my periods stopped, i stopped ovualtting i ended up nearly in serious trouble bleeding heavy for a whole 5months i could continue but it wud scare u xx
