Post Treating PCOS Naturally???

Is anyone treating PCOS naturally??? I was just diagnosed with PCOS 3 weeks ago and was prescribed Met. After speaking to a few alternative practitioners they suggested NOT to take the meds and try other alternative more natural ways to treat this. They are very confident and I think I'm going to stick with it.... If anyone is treating this naturally let me know the results... So far so good.... Weight is coming off.... Mood swings are a little better... No cravings .... It's only been 3 weeks.....

I don't know if you consider this natural, but I'm not using Met. What's super important for me is to exercise at least 5 days a week, and I stick to a vegan, whole foods diet.

i went on supplements specificly recommended from a naturalpath for a while, chenged my diet and excersized more.. and felt definate changes.. then i tried some herbal stuff like red rasberry tincture and essential oils..

i dont like the idea of met or other meds for myself personally.. untill i exaust all the other options.

i've gotten my period for 4 months in a row without any help! the weight is a constant thing i need to manage a little more than some people without pcos, and the hair issues are still there. but i feel better than i used to.

Smile PCOS Naturally!!!

I'm glad to hear that there are women out there trying other alternatives... I'm definetly excercising regularly, taking a multi-vitamin, Fiber Regulator, Ultraglycemx (metagenics I believe makes it) and doing a sugar elimination diet.... No refined or processed sugars only natural... And bodywork!!!....
And like i said before so far so good... No s/e and feeling better everyday.....

I'm also taking the natural approach to treatment. I'm on a strict vegan diet only veggies, nuts and soy products, no sugars of any kind. I have lost about 30lbs in 4 mo's. Haven't begun to excersize yet but plan on starting yoga or pilates soon to excersize and help with stress. As far as supplements I'm taking insulite products which are supposed to help with the IR, saw palmetto, pygeum and vitex which are supposed to help with the hisutism and plan on starting progesterone creme. I want to explore the option of natural therapies before commiting to met, or spiro which can really mess up your liver or bcp's which can actually make IR worse.
