Wow. This is getting SO annoying. It's EVERY time I click on a new page. EVERY time.

Me too That widget is on every page
Hpefully Kat figures it out soon, its not harming us as long as we get the pop up to abort the connection, but the pop up is annoying (and if you have your speakers on, LOUD too lol)

If you're in Firefox, just hit block and the widget disappears.

don't know if this helps or not...but the maker of the widget is "tastymedia" the website that it's attached to (www.theweighwewere.com) also brings up the trojan horse malware problem. perhaps you could contact him/her? either that or delete the widget from the forum entirely? if i can help, let me know!

Same story here, too. I'll keep checking in to see what y'all find out. I am too clueless to figure this one out on my own! LOL

The widget isn't a pop up, so I'm confused by this statement. Firefox is not giving me a warning, it is my anti virus software doing so.
I use Firefox, I'm just not sure if I am missing something here.....?

I think it's part of having Adblock plus - there's a little button on various things on a web page that says "block", usually on the top right hand corner of the thing you can block. Like if I'm reading a blog and the blogger posted a youtube video on it, or has one of those playlists that plays music, I always have the option to hit "block" on it. When the pop up comes up, hit "add filter", and the thing you blocked will disappear.

Look at the widgets - is there not a small button on one of the corners that says "block"? If there's not, go into Tools>Addons and get Adblock plus. Then reopen the page and try again and see if the "block" option comes up.

Adblock Plus itself didn't stop the warning for me until I clicked the red stop sign, clicked "Select element to hide", then clicked the widget (I have a seperate addon called "Adblock Plus: Element Hiding Helper", I think that's what does it). Now I don't see the widget anymore, so Avast isn't giving me the warning.

Thanks dear, I didn't have Adblock on my Firefox, that's why I didn't see what you were talking about. Did it now and now more Avast warnings! Yay! Thanks!

If I were you I'd just dump IE and download Firefox - you can get rid of the warnings, plus have a lot more options for lots of things on your browser.

I also only use internet explorer and it pops up on every page...it is getting very annoying and is limiting how much I come to the site, which sucks because I love the site.

Kat - if there is anyway to get it fixed, PLEASE fix it!

My advice:

1) Get Firefox

2) Go to this page, download "Adblock Plus" and "Element Hiding Helper" - http://adblockplus.org/en/installation

3) Restart Firefox, click on the arrow to the right of the red stop sign in the upper right hand corner

4) Click "Select Element to Hide" and click on the widget

5) Repeat #4 for second widget

Voila!
