I'm wondering if an imbalance of hormones could cause trouble with reaching an orgasm? Usually I can "O" easily. But, the last few times DH & I "BD", it took forever & a day?! Just wondering what might be the reason?

Oh my... If i had the answer to this question... i would be so happy
But i am afraid that i dont have the answer, but i do have the same problem, and it has started ever since i started a new BC pill. This one has more hormones, and maybe that could be the answer i dont know, but something has to give, i miss having the "O" 2 or 3 times a "session"
Hopefully we can find an answer!!

Haha...I've never been that lucky. I usually had 1 "O" per session. But, it was usually easy. The only thing different in my life right now is the Metformin. I was fine at 500 & 1000 mgs. I'm now at 1500mg. Don't know if that's it or not.

I also had difficulty achieving the big O on one of the bcp's I took years ago so I say yes hormones can affect our ability to O. If you have just changed your dose of Met I would say that could well be the answer.
Could be mental.... like you're putting pressure on yourself to have an orgasm?
If you're TTC, a little help from a vibrator once in a while might be a good idea.
Orgasm is like 90% mental, I swear!

I miss orgasms. Really. It's been SO long! My poor bf is trying his hardest, I feel like I'm letting the poor boy down. But for me, I know it's a mix; hormones, Paxil, and my losses.
either way, we're planning on getting http://shop.sex-superstore.com/cgi-bin/toys2.cgi?af=522&ecode=9011911N&bestseller=
We're hoping a little added...help, will do the trick

I know what you mean about feeling like you're letting you SO down. My DH will try his hardest and I feel bad. He seems to take it personally and feels that he is not a good lover if I don't have an "O". I usually do lately, but it just seems to take forever. BTW, we ordered lube not too long ago, and the company threw in one of those rings for free. We tried it. I could not have an "O" and blamed it on that. We threw it away. I hope you have better luck with yours.

Yes, hormones can greatly effect your ability to have an "O" talk to your ob/gyn about it, you don't have to live without satisfaction, nor do you have to live with it being difficult. That's not part of this! I had some trouble when my hormones were completely "wacko" but now that they are more under control I have a much easier time.
You should never be afraid to try new things. Get a few toys, get a detachable showerhead, whatever it takes. Sometimes my DH and I play, and if I know it's going to be a tricky one for me, I do most of the "work" myself and he helps out. Takes some of the pressure off. And the last thing you want to do is make your SO uncomfortable/nervous. Talk about performance anxiety! So just sit down, have an open and honest conversation and say "you know, I have no idea why, but all of a sudden I am having trouble having an orgasm, I'd like to try some things and see if we can work around it." and thank him/her for giving it a shot with you.
Don't worry, often these kinds of things are transitory. Keep at it, relax, and you''ll find yourself in fits sooner than you think
I feel your pain! it takes me forever sometimes. and i think it is mental. however, if i watch a dirty movie or something,a dn get myself all excited, it doesn't take as long.

My husband is having a hard time and I can't last as long I get cramps in my legs we are both overweight so it makes it harder so we are working on that part but I am wondering if anyone has any tips on tightening the cervical opening ?

that's not fair! lol. Yes, your g spot actually isn't that far up, it ifs a normal one, unlike mine. DH says mine is really far up. My gyno mentioned a few times that I have a deep cervix, so I wonder if that could be why?
