Hi to everybody. i am emma, i was diganosied with psos last year! i had not had any peroids for three years and kept getting hot flushes but the doctors would not take any notice! It took about a year for them to finally do some test and what do you know i have psos. i have not had a peroid for four years now and not much closer to trying treatment. i have six sisters and one brother and they are all having children except me. I try not to let it get to me as it is not there problem but it is taking over my life. I have been with my partner for nearly twelve years now and he is very supportive, but still feel i have let him down by not being able to give him the one thing that comes so natrual to so many people. The doctors told me to lose weight, i was 14st 5 and ten months later i am 12st 6 which is very good but all i did was change jobs, and the weight just came off. finding life very hard at the mo, i know i am not on my own but cant see how to boost myself asteam and start enjoying life!
That's great that you lost weight! Good for you cyster!
I really feel for your pain as you want to get pregnant. I will tell you, and I hope this helps, I got pregnant on metformin. It also helped me to have regular cycles and helped me lose weight. What has your doc suggested to treat your PCOS?
Glad to have you here Emma
Hugs
Jenny

Congrats on the weight loss!! You don't say what type of medications you are taking -- the ladies are correct. The met can help with a ton of things, including moodiness and fertility. You might want to ask about it for your case as PCOS does have varying symptoms. Good luck -- and stay positive.
