Hi,
I just have a quick question.
I recently just started back on Metformin. My new doctor is starting me out slow, to lessen the side effects.
500mg 1x a day for 7 days
2x a day for 7 days
3x a day for 7 days
Today is the first day of the 2x a day. Should I take the second pill at lunch or at supper?
Trying to figure out if the side effects would be worse if I took them during the day, or spread the 2nd one out until the evening.

Any input would be highly appreciated!!!!

Ericka-I took my first dose with breakfast and then added my second dose at dinner time. The third week I added it at lunch for the 1500mg dose. I did notice that eating breakfast at 6am, I was needing a snack by mid morning, and also in the mid-afternoon. GL with the Met & hopefully the s/e's won't be too harsh on you.

I'm going to take my 2nd dose for dinner. Hopefully I won't feel sick after I take it, because I have to go to Wal-Mart tonight. Actually the s/e haven't been so bad this time around, compared to the first time I was on Metformin.
