A few months ago my regular endo ordered more extensive lab work than he typically does on my checkups. When my RE got a copy, one of his nurses called me and told me that when I wanted to start TTC'ing to give them a call because he would likely put me on Synthroid to lower my TSH. It's only 2.84, but she told me he'd like to see it at least below 2.5. My T4 was only 1.14 which I understand is fine. I don't see where my T3 was tested - could this be out of whack based on the other results?
The reason I'm wondering is that I've been temping for the last month and only once has my temp even reached 97 degrees. Other than that, it's gotten as low as 96.3 and as high as 96.8 - typically right in the middle of that. I'm just wondering if there could be something my untrained eye is not seeing that could be causing thyroid problems. It doesn't seem like the TSH would be high enough to cause problems. I have a call into them but their voicemail says one of the nursing staff is gone for a few weeks so it's taking them longer to return calls.
Any input is appreciated!
