Question Trying to get pregnant

My wife hasn't had any signs of a period since our son was born, he's now over 3 years old. Before he was born, she'd had maybe 1 or 2 periods in as many years, though they only lasted for, at most, 2 days. Sometimes she has semi to severe ovary pain, but she hasn't actually bled in over 3 years.

My real question is, to some of you ladies who've dealt with this for long periods of time, what are the chances of us getting pregnant? As I understand it, if there's no cycle at all, then there's little chance of us having another child.

I know that there are rules for this forum, and I hope I'm not breaking any of them by mentioning this. Before, we weren't trying to get pregnant, but one night we experimented with LSD, and low and behold, that night my wife conceived. I would think that that was just a coincidence, but we've been trying to get pregnant now, and we haven't.

Please do not take offense by anything I have said. I know that we have been blessed with one child, and it seems almost selfish to want another, but any advice here would be greatly appriciated.

First, see a doctor. There are plenty of medicines that will induce a period. If you have health insurance start seeing an obgyn for fertility help. If you don't have health insurance having another baby is a whole different ball game. My husband and I had to put off having a baby for a year because we didnt have it, and couldnt afford it. If you want to help her get regulated there are plenty of vitamins/supplements that can help... go to the natural remedies section of this board. Also, diet and exercise are critical. Good Luck!

It is still possible to get pregnant, just a few hoops you have to jump through. I would suggest having your wife see an OBGYN to start some fertility drugs and find out what's really keeping her period away. If you don't have health insurance, you can give planned parenthood a try. Atleast they can prescribe something like provera to force bleed her and get her hormones a fresh start.

Take vitamins, start an exercise routine, try some herbal remedies. I haven't personally tried it, but heard that it's good is Cinnamon & Poria.

You don't have to worry about us on her. We all want to control our PCOS and babies. We're not judgemental. We all have our story as to what brought us here. We're a support for eachother! Don't ever be afraid to ask a question.

I'm very pleased to see that you are so interested in what you can do and how you can help. I know, personally, I wish my husband wanted to be involved (other than making the baby, LOL).

While I have no counsel, I hope it works out for you and your wife. My sister told me this weekend this is the best time in their lives to get pregnant. Of course, it's nice when nature cooperates.

natural remedies are working well for my gf. it remains to be seen the physiological impact they will have, but emotionally she seems like a different person. from the testimony of others on this site i think u should try natural rememdies before embarking on medication.
