I bought a bottle from GNC called Soy Isoflavone concentrate. The label says:
Soy isoflavone concentrate 50 mg
(40% Isoflavone =20mg)

How many pills would I take?
Thanks

I would go by the 50mg on the bottle. Sometimes they can get really confusing though. Mine are 40mg a pill, so the 50mg seems about right. I've heard a lot of other women asking questions like this before too.

It depends on a lot of things. Have you ever taken Clomid? If so, just double the dose (if Clomid 50 mg worked, take Soy 100 mg). Usually they advise you to start with a lower dose because too much Soy can actually stop you from ovulating.
Otherwise I would probably start it with 100 mg (2 pills) and if that does not work you can go up to 150 mg then to 200 mg. Personally I would not take more than that.
I am also debating on how much to take. I ovulated on Clomid 50 mg but only when I was taking it with MET. Without Met I did not ovulate on 50 mg and right now I am not taking it .... because of this I will probably start with 150 mg.

Hi Ladies,

I hope someone can help me out. I first read about soy today and I have a question for those who usually O, but use it to strengthen or regulate.

I would like to try the soy this month, but I swimmers need to be shipped from out of state, so I need to make sure I can calculate when O will happen. Did the soy change the CD you usually O?

Thanks in advance!
Dawn

I will be taking soy for the first time this month. I Oed with 100 mg of clomid, so I plan to take 200-240 mg of soy isoflavones on CD 2-6. I'm also pretty sure that I have a LPD (not diagnosed, but charting for about a year, so I know something's not right...), so I'm going to try natural progesterone cream in my LP.

well I don't think the soy worked for me this month. Now CD29 and had no EWCM and no +OPK. Got sore boobs and a bit of cramping so I think AF is on her way. Had hoped soy would be the miracle cure for me feeling a bit depressed now.

Don't feel depressed. I am on CD 35, took Soy 5-9 and had EW CD 16-18 and now I am having it again?!?! I never got a OPK+ so I am waiting later today to take another OPK to see if the EW from this morning is a sign of Ovulation. The Soy definitely seems to length you cycle. As long as I ovulate I don't care how long it lengthens it.=P at this rate MY cycle length is going to be 48 day cycle.
