Default TSH- 3.03,3.17,3.30...Dr. says normal?

Hi everyone.....I have been going to an R.E. for nearly one year. In addition, I have been having other health problems. My R.E. has tested my thyroid twice, and my primary care Dr. just tested it.
The latest test (done by my PCP) says my TSH is 3.30. Isn't that high? All the posts I see here say the new standards (as of 2002!!) are .03-3.00. Wouldn't a reproductive endocronologis know that?
How is it that a bunch of women on a site can be more up to date than physicians?
My next appt. is this friday. How should I bring this up? Here are my symptoms:

Dry brittle hair
No weight loss-even with metformin
Dry skin
No sex drive
Hair falling out
Depression-very mild
Brain Fog
Muscles Aches and Joint Pain

I could really use some advice/support girls!!!

A reproduction endocrinologist is just that, s/he specializes in reproductive endocrinology. To have a physician who is up to date on the standards and such, you'll need to find an endocrinologist who specializes in thyroid disorders. I recommend finding an endo who specializes in thyroid disorders...it can make a huge difference in your treatment.
