I have a limited amoutn of donor sperm available and you know, everything if still not working with the PCOS. So, i was wondering if anyone here is going through this and how you time your inseminations when things are rather unpredictable. Or just what your experiences in this area rea.

The hardest part of this whole process for me is: you know if you O'd after the fact because your temps go up. But my cycles aren't normal and my OPKs are always negative. Always. So how the heck do I figure out when to order from the sperm bank and inseminate? Oy.
Anyway, I appreciate your response - and best of luck with your soon-to-be little one!!!!

It's so frustrating because we're PAYING money for the sperm, and it's expensive....my suggestion is to see a Reproductive Endocrinologist and have a fertility work up - this may save you time, money, and frustration in the long run.

Artjax - I've been going to the fertility doc for a while, but I'm still not ovulating. I actually go back tomorrow and I'm finally going to start Clomid. I'm tired of waiting for my body to work. I tried metformin with no luck, I've lost a bunch of weight and that didn't help either. We will probably go to IUI in a few months if we haven't had success by that time. I suppose though it depends on whether or not I start ovulating!
Good luck with your IUI!

I've been on Metformin for 6 months, and that has regulated my period pretty well, and I'm ovulating, so at least one thing is going right!

My doc wants to make sure I am ovulating on Clomid before he will do IUI, so in the meantime, we are trying home insemination. This will be my first round of Clomid and he's starting me at 50 mg. I don't know what to expect, but I am just hopeful that it will work!

Points: 788.08 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 788.08 | Well as of tomorrow I am going to be trying injectible medications. I had to go to a class yesterday on how to do the injections. I have to do that for 5 days before I go in for my ultrasound to see if it will help the eggs develop more than what they are on their own. Has anyone else here used Gonal F?? |

Good Luck!!!
