I was posting a few weeks back, but have been so busy lately, I can hardly find time to post anywhere. But I do keep reading. I actually bought my own liquid nitrogen tanks so I can keep the vials stored at home if something happens and I don't O when I am supposed to. Then I won't have to pay for shipping again the next cycle.
Keep me posted on how your injections go - so far Clomid is ok for me. I don't know if it will work or not, but I haven't had major side effects either. Just keeping my fingers crossed!

I know it can be very frustrating. But what worked for us is using 150mg of clomid and using OPK's. Once I got a pos, I called them and went in for an U/S to see how many follies I had and if they were in fact big enough. If everything was a go, I would get a trigger shot and come back in an hour or two and have an IUI done. The only tricky part for us was the fact that the RE's office was 2 hours away from us.
Those are the ingredients that helped get me preg.
Best of luck. I hope it all works out.

The first IUI we did, I did the trigger 1 hour before the IUI. That ended with a bfp, however I did m/c.
The second IUI was done with a trigger 24 hours before and I had a bfn.
The third IUI was done with the trigger 2 hours before and again a bfn.
The fourth IUI had the trigger around 2 hours before and I got a bfp.
I think you just have to see what works for you. And that seemed to do the trick. I know they say frozen sperm only lives for maybe 12 hours. But I always did my trigger and IUI, then O'd the next day. Plus I think the RE does what works best for them.

Gemini - the tank is expensive, but I bought it from someone on the NWCryobank message boards. She was done with it and sold it to me for half what she paid. I am still doing at home inseminations, so I don't have a doc to store it for me. I'm just trying to do everything I can to make this go smoothly!

I have to take the meds for 5 more days and go back again. I hate having to wait..wait..wait. I ovulated last month and did IUI but she still thinks that i need these meds.

Yeah, I post on NW occassionally. I'll probably post there more when I can actually get an O and need help with insemination timing and such. I can't keep up with posting regularly on two boards right now

I went back to the doctor and she said it still isnt working so i have to go back again in 3 days to have another ultrasound. If I still dont look any closer to ovulation then she wants me to go on BCP for a month and then start over with stronger meds. This is enough to drive you insane!! |

Gemini - I'm sorry!!!! Hopefully things will look better in a few days, but yeah, how frustrating. You are doing everything you are supposed to do.
We did our first insemination at home last night. I'm still not sure if I Od or will O. My OPKs are coming back negative, but I had watery CM. So, we went by the CM and decided to use a vial last night. It was our first at home insemination and there was a lot of laughing because it was so strange for us the first time.
I'm going to keep watching the OPKs to see if we get a positive and hold off on any more insems until then.

How many vials are you going to use this cycle??
Also...do you usually ovulate? That is, do your OPK's come up positive? You should probably wait till 12-24 hours after your first +opk to do your next insemination.

My Mood: Points: 9,587.06 Bank: 824,992.77 Total Points: 834,579.83 | Artjax,
I don't ovulate in general. I took Clomid this cycle to try to get things moving. While I haven't had a positive OPK, I have had fertile CM. So we are going based on that. We have 3 vials this cycle, and will use the second one tonight. Fertility Friend is indicating that I am in a fertile time. I don't trust that 100%, but it's something.
I was trying to wait for a positive OPK, which maybe we will get today. That would be cool because today is my brithday But, my day 21 progesterone test is Tuesday and if it comes back with no O, my doc will put me directly on progesterone pills. So at this point, I should just use them I think. That way if I did O (or will in the near future), we have gotten the baby juice where it should be. And if I don't, well, at least we tried. That's kind of my mentality right now.
As far as inseminating, things got tense in the beginning of the process because she had to hold the vial to thaw it and just kept going "Ewwwww....ugh...gross....ewwwwww" and I didn't handle that well. But after the fact, we just laughed about it and decided that next time will go better.
So, we really have no idea if any of this is going to work, but we are just hoping. And I agree, it is important to step back and try to remove the stress.
Thanks for the advice and support - we need all that we can get!!!!
How's the wait going?
