Sage, I feel you. I did not relax until the first trimester was over. We had lots of bleeding though which was a roller coaster. I had faith, but could not relax. I genuinely though cannot wait to do it all over again. ttc is bull**** though lol

Yeah, I had spotting early on and that made it more stressful initially. I feel like I won't really be out of the woods until after the 1st trimester is over (even though I know you're not REALLY out of the woods until the baby is born healthy). I will just be glad to get through a day without feeling sick.

But I agree... ttc sucks! Hopefully you guys will be done ttc after this month... I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya

Izy, I just stopped in to see how you and Bree are doing this cycle. I had a m/c last week so I'm not really around much right now but I did want to see how you were doing. Good luck... I hope you guys have success!

Sage: I'm so sorry to hear about your m/c. How are you feeling? Feel free to vent if you need to! We are doing ok. Finally entered our first 2ww with injectables. We had several nice follicles so I am praying this one works. Fingers crossed. Keep us posted on how you're doing.

I hope you ladies dont mind if I barge in here for a minute. I read this thread alot, as well as the others on this board. I wanted to say a few things. First of all, I admire you all for doing what you want the way you want for your family. I've seen first hand the double standards and hatefulness that can be directed at the GLBT community. My dh is Bi and has had ALOT of really hurtful things said and done to him, even by his own family. You ladies are strong and I am glad this board his here. Second of all, I'm just wanting to say that I'm sorry for the m/c, hopeful for the cycles that are in or approaching the 2ww, and for those that are waiting to TTC, I wish you all the luck. TTC sucks no matter what configuration your family dynamic is. And lastly, while I don't have any questions (mostly due to the fact that I have ALOT of gay friends and asked all my questions years ago...LOL), I want to say that I think it's great you all are willing to openly answer whatever questions anyone has. The best way to beat the hate and get rid of the ignorance is to educate those that dont have a clue. I know it can seem weird to have to explain things about your life and family that just seem normal to you. One of my bestfriends is gay, and he told me one day "I don't get why so many people want me to explain why I am the way I am and why I prefer what I do. I mean, I don't walk up to straight people and ask them to explain themselves." And it's true. Herterosexual people don't have to explain or justify anything, but the GLBT community does. Not fair, but reality. It sucks that there are so many sterotypes nowadays. I wish things were different. Anyway, sorry to barge in here. I just wanted to say hi and tell you that I think you all are great on here, and I wish every single one of you the best of luck.

Sage - I'm really sorry to hear about your miscarriage. My thoughts will be with you and your partner.

Izy - Any news after the 2ww?

Dr - The new picture of Colton is adorable (as usual)! I love how his little feet are flexed in excitement.

My2Babies - Thanks for stopping in and expressing your support. I wanted to share a funny story about gay couples having to explain things that straight couples don't have to... My friend was at a neighborhood dinner which included a lesbian couple who was pregnant and the 4-yr-old daughter of another couple. The 4-yr-old (who had just learned from her parents where babies come from) asked the pregnant woman next to her how she had gotten pregnant and the woman carefully explained that sometimes when two people love each other very much they decide to make a baby together. The little girl mulled that over for a bit and then, during a lull in the conversation around the table, the girl yelled, "Oh, I get it! You can have sex vagina to vagina, too!" Everyone at the table choked on their food.

duckie: that 2ww was sucky. we're in another 2ww that will end wednesday, the 30th. This is our second Gonal f/IUI round. We had this huge spermergency when we got to the dr, they thawed the sperm and it was all dead. UGH. we had more in storage at a better temp downtown so we ran down there and got our last vial (hopefully our last ever) and it's count was great... so, we'll see what comes of it. How's it going with the little one? she's adorable!

chickon: is colton walking? close to it? are you guys going to start TTC#2 soon?

Duckie - She's adorable! 2 months old already!

Izy - That is wretched. I hope this is your last vial ever! I'll be thinking about you guys this week. Does your bank offer a refund or replacement vial if the sperm are all dead? Colton isn't walking yet, but he's all over the place. He's cruising, but not walking. Which is fine with me - and his doc said not to expect him to walk until 15 or 16 months, so that's what we are expecting. She said he's been so busy with language and fine motor skills, he's been too busy to think about needing to walk. That is changing now though because he's trying. As for TTC #2 - I am thinking next summer. We've been tentatively looking for a larger house so we have more space to accomodate another kid, but I don't yet know how that will pan out...we pre-qualified for the loan, we found the house and were about to make an offer but the new "homeowners rescue bill" they just passed changed the lending guidelines and we might not qualify for our financing anymore. So we are waiting to hear back from the real estate agent and mortgage guy. It's been a real rollercoaster and the only reason we are doing it is so we know we have space for baby #2 next summer.

chickon: they would replace the vials i presume if they had been stored at the right temperature but our RE stores at a higher temp than the bank. The other possibility is that it was a "bad freeze" .... I think I would just ask for replacements if we need more and see how it goes. Ell didn't walk until 14 months and they weren't really concerned about all that either. One of our nieces walked at 9 months (which was bizarre to see a little baby walk around) and another walked at 11 months... so I though Ell might walk sooner... but nope. GL with the loan and looking for a new home!

Sage, how have things been with you guys?
