Hey Bailey,

It appears that I will be starting round 2 on Monday 5/28. Appears... you may wonder. Well the provera has started me spotting today and AF should be here fully tomorrow. First round I was on CD4-8. So... assuming all goes like last time (AF wise) then my clomid day will be Monday.

You said round three and I see that is 100mg. I did 100 earlier this month and nothing. No O. So I am still a little shocked my Dr started me right back on again so soon (I didn't even get the chance to see if AF would come on again with out Provera.) And he upped me to 150mg. (My DH is frightened.) LOL

I know from the 1st round the mood swings, hot flashes and counting days craziness we go through.

So.... if you don't think 1 day is too much of a difference, I'd like to k.i.t through this round. It makes life so much easier when you have someone to chat to that totally understands.

PS... while I am online here; that leaves less time for me to find a reason to balk at my poor DH!

Hey Barb,

No, I don't think that 1 day is much of a difference at all. I have read about a lot of people having doctor, prescription, or pharmacy issues and they had to start a day late or something, and it's not a big deal as far as I know.

If you didn't O then your period probably wouldn't have come anyway.

Best of luck this cycle. My doc is keeping me at 100mg because I had a very good O on it this past month.

HSG is next Friday. I am nervous but anxious to get it over with, as well as my DH's 2nd SA.

We'll chat and keep each other updated as our cycles will be nearly identical.

Lots of BABY DUST!!

Hey Bailey,
Glad we can be cycle buddies. This is so much for us (women) and it is always a plus to have someone who can relate.
That is so awesome that you got a O out of your last cycle. Congrats. That is really great news and must make it easier to plug on.
Duh... I didn't EVEN think how COULD I get AF if I didn't O!! I feel like a ninny. All I thought (and said) was "No rest for the weary!".
As far as the HSG, I read waaay too much about it. I was in the room and on the table for all of 5 minutes (and we had to wait for the x-ray tech to come in). It was really awesome to see and me and DH was floored to see the fallopian tubes look NOTHING like text book. I won't say don't be nervous. That is going to happen. I will say (for me) I had a little pressure when they did the cathader but nothing else. (Mind you my tubes were clear so I didn't have any pain that could happen if they weren't.) When I went into the bathroom to change I cried. My poor DH was outside the door thinking I was hurting. But... I was relieved I was clear and relieved it didn't hurt.
Is your DH able to go with you? If so, ask if he can come into the room also. My DH was so happy he went in and so was I.
Well... I hope you have something fun planned for the weekend. Before the Clomid s/e's kick in.
HAGD. ~ Barb

Default I started clomid today

Hi! I started round 1 of clomid today, just took the first pill, it's Day 3. So maybe I can join you. I am worried about the s/e that you both mentioned.

I had an HSG a couple months back and it was just sort of uncomfortable, but not painful. They found a fibroid, so that might have been what made it more uncomfortable for me though. I had read a lot about it and had to stop because it made me more nervous. The thing that was odd for me was I was sore or irritated inside for a few days after. My Dr. said it might have been the dye.

Currently I take 1500mg Metformin and prenatals.

Hi everyone,

I am set to start my first round of Clomid on the 30th. Hopefully a couple of days difference won't matter too much? I'll admit I have no idea what to expect. Everything seems to be happening really fast.

I'm concerned because dh is scheduled to be out of town on cd14-17. But doc said since I'm Oing just REALLY late, as in cd 35, I may O late, just not as late. So hopefully the eggy will hold of until dh gets home! Really, I just have no idea! :o)

Hi Sarah and April- Good luck with your first rounds of Clomid!

Regarding side effects- don't worry about them. Yes, they suck, but they're managable. My moodiness wasn't too bad unless something triggered it. The hot flashes sucked but they didn't last long.

HSG is Friday so I'll update you guys then.

Baby dust, Baby dust, Baby dust, Baby dust!!

Yeah so Clomid is in FULL EFFECT today. So irritable and moody! It seems that work only gets busy and hectic when I'm on a moody day. It's like it's timed to do so. GRRRRRR!

I am just started my provera for my first use of Clomid. 50 mg days 5-9. I am not on glucophage because my Dr. doesn't think I have PCOS or Insulin resistance. Although I have alot of the symptoms, but my blood work looks normal and no cysts on my ovaries. I am going to give this a try but will possible seek a second opionion next month. The only time in my life I have ovulated on my own (I think) was when I was following the South Beach Diet before my wedding....?????

Are you guys using ovulator predictor kits/test? I just got a 10 pack from Costco for $15 something!!

Bailey, Hang on girl. I know what you are going through. I have a post it on my computer at work that says "Say NOTHING!" I came very close to being a little TOO honest. So now, I say:
Tell them to be sweet, or you're gonna get beat! LOL

Ladies, to you all. This is ALL worth it. The moodiness, the crying (if you are a cryer like me) and the hot flashes too. There are so many women that have beat the TTC beast while on Clomid. Hang onto HOPE. That four letter word may very well turn into the ULTIMATE four letter word. BABY

As for me, second night on 150mg of Clomid. No s/e's so far. But I know they are coming. But THIS time, I am prepared!

Sending Blessings to you all!

~Barb

Barb- thanks for the advice, it cracked me up!!

Hoping today will be a calmer day for me! Hot flashes last night...but then again it's HOT where I live and we haven't turned on the AC yet so maybe it was the weather too.

Hope you all are feeling well!!
