Unhappy TTC - Confused

I am currently TTC. I am taking Clomiphene along with Meformin to see if they can get me to ovulate. I have already been through 50, 100, and 150mg of Clomiphene and none of them have helped.

I am now up to 200mg and instead of having a blood test on CD21 like usual, they want me to come in for a Pelvic exam in between CD14 and CD16. I am not sure what they are trying to "look" for with this procedure.

I am scared and a little negative about the whole situation. It just gets so depressing every time your results say NO.

Right now I'm at the point of Forget kids...give me a darn egg !!!!

Any help would be tremendous right now.

Hi Pixiedust! There is a TTC board here, http://www.soulcysters.net/trying-conceive/ and Im sure you will get a lot more notice from people who have been through this that can help you. There is also a board called "Other Medications" that has discussions about Clomid.

I hope someone is able to answer your questions!

Pixie--Are you sure they're going to do a pelvic exam? I suspect what they will do is a transvaginal ultrasound to take a look at your ovaries and see if there are any follicles developing. That's a pretty usual way of monitoring with Clomid and nothing to worry about. If Clomid doesn't work, there are several other options out there for getting you to ovulate (like Femara and the various injectable medications). I know how frustrating TTC can be...we're all here whenever you have questions or need encouragement.

HTH.

pixie try not to worry i know its hard to do. the ultrasound they are probably looking to see if you have any eggs that are maturing to ovulate. one thing on clomid you don't always ovulate on the clomid when they say you will. i ovulated late in my cycle around 19-22. i got two babies out of ovulating late. one i took 150 the next i had to take 200. g/l i sire hope your u/s turns out great for you.
