Welcome to SoulCysters, Jonesiez! I hope you find some answers and friends here.
I can't really answer all your questions from personal experience (I haven't tried Met.), but I can try to help. I have heard of many cysters getting PG on Clomid & Met together. Some cysters stay on Met through the PG to prevent miscarriage, too. Here's a link I got from another thin cyster who had a baby boy in December:

What makes you say "I _may_ have ovulated with 150mg"? Did your doctor do any kind of monitoring to determine if you did? What kind of doctor are you seeing?
Most of the cysters around here would highly recommend that you go to a Reproductive Endocrinologist (RE) from the beginning--they are usually more knowledgeable about PCOS than an OB/GYN, even ones who "specialize" in infertility. My husband and I have our first appt with an RE on Tues, I wish I had gone earlier (we did 3 Clomid cycles with our GP), but DH pointed out that at least we're going now (instead of waiting any longer). There was a 6-week wait between my call and the first available appt. (I've actually heard that this is a relatively short wait...and I know this RE is good, I've heard some personal recommendations).
Well, sorry to babble on so. If you don't get a good response here, try posting in the TTC forum or the Metformin forum.
