Question TTC: How Much Soy???

Hi ladies!

i know you all will know the answer to this (smile)

How much soy are you taking?

i am on my last month of CLomid. i take 200 mgs. if it doesnt work, I am going to do soy for a few months.

how much Soy Do i need to take? the caplets are 50mgs each. it says to take 2 pills a day for menopause support or whatever it says its for. but that would be 100 mgs and i take 200 mgs of clomid.

DO I TAKE THE SAME MG AMOUNT OF THE SOY AS I TAKE CLOMID? or do i take the dosage on the bottle. SO....100 mgs (bottle) or 200 mgs (clomid dosage)?

what worked for you????

thank you!!!

I think I used 100 mgs twice a day. Mine was a powder but luckily you wont have to taste it Even chocolate flavored was gross! I did ovulate no pgcy though. Good Luck!

Vitex (400mgs) and dong quai (500 mgs) worked but I had a m/c
due to low progesterone, not related to the meds. It was torie's cocktail that she used with jayden..

Edited to add- I was also on a low carb diet (ir) and glucophage. Clomid worked with my dd Im sorry it hasnt worked for you yet.

Okay...it has been a few years, but this is what I remember that I did. I believe that I got 100 mg pills of the soy isoflavones. I took 2 a day on days 4,5,6,7, & 8. I can't remember if I took them together or one in the a.m and one in the p.m - but if I had to take a guess, I think it was both together in the morning.

I was also on Metformin at the time and continued that.

I got pg the second month. This was after years and years of TTC and Clomid and other stuff. Actually, we were all done TTC and had started the adoption process at the time - already had the referral and had put his name on the birth certificate but hadn't gotten custody yet. I was off all fertility meds, shots, etc. I was still on the metformin but noticed that my periods were getting further apart, so was trying the soy to bing them closer together. And, surprise, I got pg. Actually, that day we BD'd, I had EWCM, but didn't realize what it was until a number of weeks later when I found out I was pg. THen I remembered seeing this gooey stuff in the bathroom that one Friday. So, for me, the soy seems to have helped get to the right place.

Now I have two kids, the one we were adopting and the one I conceived on the soy. They are 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 and I am clearly NOT taking any more soy.

Good luck.

Are any of you on met too? I got preg is my son on 150mg of clomid. I was just thinking of starting out with that much soy and see what happens. Then, if that don't work, I will adjust from there.

i am in the middle of my last month of clomid so soy starts in january.

i have asked around the site and it seems that ppl are taking the same amount of soy as they do clomid.

so i will take 200mgs of soy i guess.

good luck all!!!!

What would happen if you took soy and clomid at the same time??? I've not really investigated into taking soy just asking the question.

You are not supposed to take soy and clomid at the same time. I think that they adversly affect each other.

There is a sticky on this page for soy and the benefits.

Thinking of clomid? Give soy a try cd 5-9...

Soy and clomid work similar so they would probably cancel each other out.

ava2005-some girls reported temps evening out and O'ing earlier. Good Luck!! I was going to try soy but AF is no where in sight and my IUI cycle is fast approaching.

Well as my siggie shows I did 2 month of clomid 50mg- no O'. 150 mg O'd but thin linnig. Then I did a monitored soy cycle and had a much better linning response. Linning from clomid 4.3 linning from soy 10mm. I also have seen women on here who have been giving estrogen for linning issues DURING a clomid cycle. So (I wonder if any of this reaally makes sense to anyone other than me?) I decided this month starting Saturday I'm gonna take clomid 100mg and soy 40mg. I believe the soy helps w/ my estrogen = good linning. All over this board it says not to take the 2 together. But I have never listened real well. *Babydust*
