Default ttc just got back from the doctor-

Hi all-

Ok, so I went in to the doctor today for normal pap and to finally discuss getting the green light on trying to get pregnant. I have lost 67 pounds but I still need to loose some more (about 40 pounds). Anyways my doctor was really impressed with my weight loss and she said my ovaries were no longer enlarged I have weight coat syndrome so when I first get to the doctor my blood pressure goes through the roof. I asked if this would effect the baby if I was prego and she said no as long as it came back down to normal levels (does anyone have an expierience with this?) she said I can go ahead and start trying to get pregnant because it might take me a while and still to be dieting and exercising. I was so happy and nervous at the same time! Finally we get to start trying!!!!!!!
Here's the kicker my primary doctor tested my thyroid and it's at 5.6 so he put me on some natural iodine to see if that works. My OB said on second thought don't start trying until you get your thyroid levels checked again, and call me with the results and I will tell you what to do??????? What does that mean?????? Has anyone here been pregnant with hyperthyroidism? Any advise would be so appreciated!!!

One of my best friends has hypothyroidism and it only took one time of her forgetting her bcp and BAM she was pregnant. She's on meds for it plus bcp and she got remarried just last week so they are planning to wait a year or so and then have a baby even though she's already 28 going on 30 years old. Safe to say the hypothyroidism isn't putting a damper on her but I guess every case could be different.
