I've used the following sauce for several different things, including tuna steaks. the first time i cooked Tuna I cooked it too long-so don't do that because it's rubbery.

Gyoza Sauce
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
1 Tablespoon Sesame Oil

I called my MIL the first time I made tuna steaks by myself. She recommended seasoning them with salt and five-spice. I like my tuna a little better done while my husband likes his a little rare. I cooked mine for five minutes on one side, flipped it and started my husband's. 2.5 mins in, I flipped his and then after five minutes, both were done to our liking!

Since then, I found a recipe from the Giada from the food network that uses pesto sauce to flavor the tuna. That is now my favorite method. MMM!!
