I'm going to be turning 30 in a few months and still am not pregant... we've been trying for quite a while now. In fall of 2005 I had an "empty sack" pregnancy. The closer it gets to my 30th birthday, the more down I am feeling. I want more than anything to get pregnant and am taking metformin for it to help out. Anyone else going through the same? It would help out "talking" with someone. Sometimes I feel alone with this even though I have a loving husband, a supportive family, and I know for a fact other people are going through it to.
I turned 30 on Thursday and believe me I had struggles too. I have not had children and my 20's had been plagued with bad health, hair loss, terrible periods, and infertility. I had tried Metformin, Avandia, you name it. I, too, have a loving husband with whom I can talk to about my concerns. I realized this week that things are not the same as they used to be. Women are waiting later in life to have children. They are focusing on careers and building strong foundations for a family. I have decided to have gastric bypass this July and am looking forward to the future for the first time. It is a huge step..not one that I would have planned for myself, but I have tried everything and my case is severe. The doctors have assured me that this surgery will really help with my PCOS and my fertility will skyrocket. Hopefully your case is not as severe as mine, but it takes time to get those insulin levels down. It also helps to eat low-carb while taking the Met. Once that insulin gets down to the magic number, your periods will get regular and ovulation will occur. I am looking forward to my thirties, and you should too. You never know what God has planned for you.
I am 30 in July… and I am looking forward to hitting the big 30! My 20’s have not been the most happiest of my life and I am hoping I can start to turn things around in my 30’s…
Look on it as a new start, a chance to keep trying for the baby you dream of so much and a chance to put the bad times behind you…
I don't want to sound unsympathetic, but I am 31 and childless and TTC with PCOS. It is definately something you have to embrace. I did my share of worrying & stressing out over it, but it only makes getting PG harder. Remember we are all here to help you and listen and offer guidance to each other.
My one wish for you is that you totally embrace this awesome time in your life and keep your focus towards baby. Hugs to you!!

glad to hear you are feeling a little better. It will take some adjusting too, but you can do it! I was always worried about the fact that I am the only kid my parents have that wants babies and here they are 63 and I can't have any. But then I realized that if I continued to put that stress on myself plus stress out over my own age...I would never get PG just from being stressed out let alone from the PCOS.
I wish you the best on your journey. Message me if you ever need/want to chat.
Warm embraces to you! Jen

What I did was direct my mom to this website so she could read and get informed about what is happening inside my body. She of course tells my dad so they are both on the same page. That has helped alot as my mom was blaming herself at the start for not getting me to a dr. when I was in my teens. So, not only are you dealing with all of this, the parents are too and KNOWLEDGE IS POWER and in this case, KNOWLEDGE BRINGS UNDERSTANDING!

Maria don't get down about it I'm 33 and tcc for almost four years now. Found out today I am fully PCOS because I don't produce progeterone at all so I don't O. I have about two good years left before my chances of down syndrome goes up and other problems
I'll be 30 in October... TTC for 9 years, and I've lost 2 pregnancies. I honestly feel your pain. Its hard, it sucks... but, its life.
I've been having a very hard time coping with the fact I will be 30, childless, FAT, missing my babies ... etc. I set up an apointment to see a shrink for next week... maybe she can offer me some sort of help. HA HA HA, I doubt it.
Hang in there, sorry that things are so rough. **HUGS**
