Kim-Cherries and blueberries. . .YUM! Planting your own is actually a good idea especially since those are both more expensive fruits. Plus, homegrown stuff is always sooo good! Just be careful that the stuff doesn't get freezer burn on it. Do you have a vaaccum sealer? A family friend seals and freezes veggies from her garden so that it stores beautifully and can be eaten during the winter. I freeze a lot of stuff when I'm at school, but I usually eat it within the month. I just put it in quart sized freezer bags then put those inside of the big gallon ones. I've frozen cut up mango and pinaeapple, and it does get frost on it within a few weeks. Ok. . .I'm going to stop talking about this because I'm getting hungry thinking of how wonderful partially frozen fruit is!!!! Lol

I don't have a vacuum sealer but I'm not too concerned with freezer burn. I rarely have it now, except in stuff that's been in there for 3+ months.

So how is everyone? Corrie-Ann, how are you feeling? Kim, how's the new job? Everything still going well?

My parents went out of town, and I was taking care of my handicapped sister last week, so my exercising really went by the wayside.

I've been feeling a little under the weather too. I can't seem to get enough sleep these days. . .I hope that goes away soon. I've got to much to do!

The job is meh. I was kind of lied to. I was told I'd be decorating cakes and now it appears that the person they fired is coming back. I'm stuck bagging bread most of the day, which is getting old, but the other stuff is fun.

I'm also partly sick with a cold or something. Just sick enough to be miserable but not sick enough to stay home. I also started AF on the 17th so that hurts and makes me feel overall worse.
I only have to work 4hrs today so that's the good thing. The bad thing is I feel so crummy I probably won't exercise. If I do anything it'll be house work then my day will be over.

Kim - Thats happens a lot with new jobs. happened to me more than a few times. Hate that. Hopefully they realize that they want you to stay and need to give you stimulating things to do.

We suddenly got winter in Sweden. Cold and snow in the end of march...

You girls are the best.

Hey girls!

Sorry, things have been so hectic around here. I have seemed to stall on the whole eating healthy, I am trying really hard and am not doing terribly, but it could be better. We don't have alot of food in the house tho, but enough to get by.

I hope everyone is doing well!

Default hola chicas

hello everyone!!! i just wanted to post that i did indeed make my st patty's goal of 10 pounds!! woo hoo. So I'm down to 166 and I want to be at 156 by Cinco de Mayo. My long term goal is 140 by my 24th birthday on 9/24. I decided that changing my body for the better and taking control of my health instead of letting it control me was the best birthday present I could ever give myself. I am down 25 pounds since January. I really think that Metformin is helping. I am finding the perfect balance of food while on Met. If I eat too much then I want to just continue eating and I will over eat, but if I eat smaller amounts the Metformin really helps control my appetite. I used to think about food all the time. Just waiting to eat again. And now I don't feel that way. I will go hours without thinking about food...which is really a huge step in the right direction for me!! Good Luck on your goals everyone! We Can Do It!

You are an inspiration! =)

I started working in my "garden". I rent a patch from the city council. I did a lot of digging this weekend. And on Sunday I waterproofed my SCA beduin tent. I have found muscles I didn't know I had.

But now its raining.

Good going twentyfour!!

I ended up gaining back over the past four months because the braces on my teeth made it impossible to eat raw veggies and that got me off track. Now I'm doing much better and able to eat my broccoli raw again, yay!
So I'm back on track and my mini goal is to get back to 240 (and I had been at 238, so maybe, and hopefully I'll go even lower this time.)

I planted some veggies in 3 gallon pots this year. We got red clay here and last year my garden failed miserably because of the clay/soil and the drought.
So now I bought bags of dirt. I got tomato plants with yellow flowers on them already.
We might freeze this weekend though so I need to watch out. At least I can bring them inside, being in pots.

Go going you girls!

I changed the title to "Spring of 2008", since it seems we are really busy and don't have much time to post.

I am alive at the least, but things have gotten me downand I am trying to work them out right now, but I wanted to pop in and let you all know, I am still around. Love ya girls!
