I am laughing, but crying
I am in love, yet I hate
I am living, but feel dead
I am talking, while screaming inside
I am smiling, yet frowning
I am flying, but drowning
I am nice, yet rude
I am funny, but serious
I am speaking, yet I am silent
I am feeling, but I am numb
I am seeing, yet I am blind
I am listening, but I am deaf
I am human.

Self esteem perturbs
Think before you speak
True feelings won’t leak
What do I feel inside?
You’ll never know, I lied
Hide my emotions
In a vast ocean
Of hurt and hate
To explode at a later date
Not telling my emotions may be absurd,
But after all, it’s just words…
