Type I Diabetes with PCOS I'm Corey..I'm 23 and was recently diagnosed with PCOS. I've been experiencing pelvic pain on my left side down by my ovaries, so my dr has recommended that I have a procedure done to see if I have endometriosis. As if these complications don't make it bad enough, I have had juvenille diabetes since the age of 10. I have just recently started to control my diabetes because I am wanting to get pregnant. Is there anyone out there that has PCOS and juvenille diabetes? The Drs have me on Metformin, Humalog Insulin, Yasmin, Minocycline, Differin & Clindagel. Basically, my testosterone levels have been a little high causing acne..which is the reason for Differin, Clindagel and Minocycline. I believe the Minocycline makes my birth control ineffective..is this correct? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks so much!
