I see. I had no idea. I thought BCPs are the standard treatment. Well, I guess I have my ob/gyn to thank for that, she's never mentioned anything else. I'll be sure to tell her to do all those tests you mentioned, because so far I've only had an ultrasound and hormone level tested.

that was interesting-i was not aware PCOS had different types...

On dx of types-the article said insulin resistance is what classifies, right-nto glucose. A lot of people w IR produce enough to maintain near to normal glucose levels-see the following:

Great info. I'm definitely type 1, but I kinda knew that anyway because of all the posts regarding the two variations of this 'syndrome'.
